About Me
After nearly a decade as a magazine editor for Departures, Centurion, Food & Wine, and Travel + Leisure, I decided to go freelance so I could travel more and write about the people I meet and the things I see/eat/drink. I remain on the masthead at Food & Wine as a contributing editor and report to my other former magazines as well as Michelin, Luxe, and Bloomberg Businessweek among others. Along with food and travel, I have extensive knowledge in design and helped to completely revamp the special biannual Departures Home + Design issues as the Associate Design Editor. I've lived in Italy, South Korea, and Costa Rica and know each region well. Living extensively in Colorado made me an expert skier, snowboarder, outdoorsman, and mountaineer. Oh, and I briefly worked for a major Hollywood actor (ask me about that in person), but my calling as a writer was simply too overpowering.

Here are a few examples to start. More to come...
I had the privilege of tapping the world's top interior designers to learn how to bring color into spaces. This was part of an entire section I helped produce all about color in the Departures Spring 2019 Home + Design issue. I also assigned, edited, and oversaw the photo shoot for a story in the section about Gaetano Pesce (digital version here)
